Retreat and Event Registration for Congregations

Wondering how to register for one of our events as a church? Look no further!

Our registration system is organized by family and individual. Churches--via youth groups, confirmation classes, women's groups, etc.--are often the organizers of the effort from a church to attend our events. So, you'll want to know on your end with your church which people are expecting to come.

You should then tell those people to register on our website. All of our programs use the same URL for registration, so anytime you see a button that says "register," it will take you to one of our programs. For your convenience, there is one right here:

Register for a program by clicking this button!

How to Register for something: A Walkthrough

If you're new, making a login is really simple and immediate...no e-mail verification or texts or anything crazy like that. So do that real quick first.

If you've been here before, you likely already have an account. If you can't get in, try the "reset your password" option. If that doesn't work please stop and contact us. The thing is...if you make a second account, it's a huge problem for us for a number of reasons, and hard to fix. So let us get you back in your account, please don't make a new one.

Once you're in, you'll see something like the picture here. Depending on your programming, you'll want to click a button under one of these headings.

  • Adult Programming is for things like our Women's Retreat and Pastor Renewal Getaway.
  • Youth Programming is for Middle/High/Youth Retreats, Ultimate Youth Day, Social Justice Summit, Confirmation, etc. Adult chaperones register for these events here, too.
  • Programming for All Ages covers stuff like our Fall, Winter, and Spring Fun days, Friends Day, Open Houses, and Getaway to Play. Basically, stuff where we might have kids and adults in the same family.
  • Summer Camp is just summer camp.

Step 1 is to select who it is you are registering.

If you are registering yourself, "add a participant" (which is just you).

If you are registering a child or someone else, hit "add a participant" and enter the name and grade of your child. You'll do this multiple times if you have multiple kids to register.

Once you do that, you'll be able to move forward.

Step 2 is to select what you are registering for.

This is fairly straightforward. If the program has tiered pricing, that will come up as an option. In the screenshot here, we are registering for the Social Justice Summit which only has one price.

Occasionally, you'll get into this step, and whatever it is you are trying to register for won't be here. If that's the case, one of us has made a mistake!

You'll want to make sure that when you put the participant information together, you put in the age/grade information correctly. If you did, please contact us; sometimes when we add or change programs, we don't check off all the boxes we need to in the back end of our system. It's a quick and easy fix and if you give us a call, we'll be able to do it in just a few minutes.

Step 3 is to fill out a few forms for us.

  • These provide a bit of information about you, so we can make sure you have the best experience possible!
  • Some also address liability, to protect Johnsonburg from risk.
  • Finally, participants often have churches or other outside parties acting on their behalf to reduce costs. Some forms are designed to keep that as organized as possible, and that we are invoicing the right people.

One of the most helpful things you can do is make sure you follow the naming conventions for your church.

We prefer that you give us the name of your church as it might be listed on a website or google. If you're a First Pres, please list it as "First Presbyterian Church [location]." Please don't put "FPC!"

Step 3.5: For people who are registering for the Social Justice Summit

There can be a lot of people involved in registering and paying for just one person. For the Social Justice Summit, we are inviting churches to send teens and chaperones for the event.

1. Churches will share the information with their youth to see if there is interest and plan to come.
2. Churches tell interested parties to register on our site.
3. Parents come to campjburg.org, hit one of many registration buttons, and end up in the registration system as shown here.
4. Everyone will need to fill out the "Church information form" to help us know where you are coming from and who to talk to about payment if your church is contributing to the fee.

This form to list the amount they expect to pay for the Summit based on the information given to them by the church.

Please note that the fee Johnsonburg is charging is $395, and so that's what it will say when you register for the program in Step 2. In most cases, the amount that families will pay per child is less, but ultimately that's decided between congregations and families. You do not have to pay anything to complete the registration (see below).

Step 4/5: Payment and review

At step four, we ask for payment. If you choose pay by check, you can complete a registration without payment. Please note that in any case, until we receive a deposit, your spot is not guaranteed.

At step five, you'll see a summary of what you've just done.

Once you hit submit, you won't be able to edit the information on the forms. If you stop at this stage, you can always come back in and change your information. So, if you are not sure how much you are paying for something vs. your church, you may want to exit out here and come back later.

If you hit submit, you are able to get back in to continue to make payments, or even change your registration for programs.

Please be in touch with any questions/concerns. We'd love to help! Our registration process is comprehensive and so it can take 20 minutes or more. We'd love to help you if you get stuck or have a question...please, don't hesitate to let us know what's going on!
