Women’s Spring Retreat
Hosted every spring and fall, our Women’s Retreats offer adult women a chance to step away from daily routines and find rest, renewal, and connection. With guests from a wide range of ages and life experiences, these weekends are filled with community, spiritual growth, and time in the beauty of nature.
Our Women’s Retreat starts Friday April 24th and runs through the late morning (after brunch) on Sunday April 26th. On Friday we do ‘getting to know you’ games and kick off the retreat. Saturday we start with breakfast and dig into the theme of the retreat. Either in the morning or afternoon, we do some camp activities like boating, zipline, crafts. After dinner we have a campfire and dig a bit more into the topic and end the evening with fellowship time. Sunday morning there is worship, we close the retreat and then there’s brunch before you depart. There is a masseuse here on Saturday that offers self pay 30-minute massages through the day. They are scheduled at dinner on Friday.
I think that’s about everything. Please let me know what other questions you have. We’d love to have you join us!
The Establishment Clause : Forgiveness: Exploring One of Christ’s Most Pivotal Challenges
“Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven.” Luke 6:37
Pastor Rev. Heather M. Finck

I began my ministry in New Jersey thirty years ago and have been a pastor at Freedom Plains United Presbyterian Church in Lagrangeville, NY for the past 22 years. I grew up in the Hudson Valley and I love being close to the river in my adult life. I have been blessed and humbled to watch and enjoy the life cycles within church families over the years. I have treasured leading youth ministries and women’s groups with book and bible studies as the associate pastor.
I am the mother of two wonderful young adults and by far parenting was and continues to be my richest and most challenging life teacher. I am a trained Spiritual Director and I appreciate the many disciplines that can guide us down our walks of faith. I have done 4 units of hospital chaplaincy training in CPE (clinical pastoral education) which has deepened my understanding of myself and God’s amazing power and love.
I enjoy baking, taking walks, reading, gardening, yoga and being a crazy cat person.
