Fall Middle School Retreat
Papers, Prophets, and Purpose: Using who you are to help others
This weekend we explore how our identities—who we are and what makes us unique—shaped the lives of the prophets and Jesus, and how they still shape our world today. Our speaker, Julliet Owuor, will also share her own story, about how identity has shown up in her life, using some examples of ways society “labels” us through our lives. Throughout this weekend retreat, attendees will be invited to think about how their identity can be used to help and stand up for others—just like Jesus did.
Guest Speaker : Juliet Owuor
Juliet Owuor is a Kenyan-American artist and storyteller who loves finding beauty in everyday life. She enjoys sharing creativity and imagination with kids, helping them see the world in new ways. When not painting, Juliet loves to write, spend time outdoors, and learn new things.
Johnsonburg offers a voluntary tiered pricing system. The Tier 1 rate is the cost of the retreat. The Tier 2 and 3 rates are the subsidized rates for those who pay the Tier 1 rate. Regardless of the rate you pay, you receive the same exact program, food and accommodations as those choosing the Tier 1 rate. Registration Cancellation Policies:
| Cancellations on or before November 23rd will be eligible for a full refund less a $50 administrative fee. | ||
| Cancellations on or after November 24th are not eligible for refund. |
Retreat will begin at 7pm on Friday and run through 11am on Sunday
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday.
Registration closes on November 24th.
After the registration date closes (November 24)—if there is still availability—we will continue to accept registrations; however, they will incur a late fee of $200.
