Spring Sabbath Day at Camp Monday April 19 (9 to 4)

Come enjoy the spring wildflowers and take time to spend a day apart with God. Clergy and laypersons are invited to Johnsonburg for a day of rest and renewal. Spend your time reading, journaling, walking the labyrinth, praying, and/or seeking spiritual direction. $25/person (includes lunch).

Plan to arrive at camp by 9AM to complete your registration and settle in for the day. Informally meet the other participants over coffee, bagels and fruit followed by an introduction to the day’s theme and a time of meditation. The group will meet before lunch for communion and then for a closing meditation from 3:30 until 4:00. The rest of the day is up to you to do as much or as little as you’d like.

Bring your Bible, journal and reading material or browse through our books and music. If you’d like to listen to music while you walk, you may want to have a portable CD player along. Stay over in one of the lodges Sunday and/or Monday night if you’d like to extend your Sabbath time. $20 per overnight. Except for Monday lunch, there will be no meals served in the dining hall, but please feel free to bring your own food, or we can suggest a local place to eat.
